A quiet beachfront road runs the length of the bay — typical of New Zealand’s best coastal villages — with easy pedestrian access to the sand just steps from your door. All-day sun, safe swimming and expansive golden sand await.

Do I need a car to stay at Beachfront on Waiheke?

Not at all. The bus stop is a short walk away with regular connections to the ferry terminal at Matiatia. Three great restaurants — Ki Māha, Charlie Farley’s and Three Seven Two — are within easy walking distance, along with a café, the local Four Square supermarket and a beach hire shop next door. It’s one of the most walkable locations on the island.

What is the best time of year to visit?

Onetangi Beach is beautiful year-round. Summer (December–February) offers warm swimming, long sunny days and a vibrant island atmosphere. Autumn and winter bring quieter beaches, dramatic skies and the chance to enjoy Waiheke’s renowned vineyards without the crowds. The beach faces north, meaning all-day sun even in cooler months.

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and light. The location was absolutely stunning and it was wonderful to be able to simply stroll across the road to one of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches. We thought the staff were without exception extremely helpful and considerate.

Idyllic Setting

I wanted to get away and recharge my soul. Taking my small dog with me, this was the perfect location, right on Onetangi Beach where you could hear the waves at night. A great property for a family or going solo. This place hit the mark. Thank you.

Awesome holiday spot

Thanks for sharing such a special home - it was perfect for us, especially as we were travelling with older parents who could easily access all the amenities of the house and the short walk across to the beautiful beach was just perfect.

Loved our stay in Brian and Alison's townhouse right on Onetangi Beach. It was perfect for our family of 4 and our little pup. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a full meal and the lounge is lovely and big which means plenty of space to spread out. We were there during Cyclone Hale so being able to swim in the cold ocean and then be in the hot spa a few mins later was a real treat.

The apartments were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Kitchen had everything you needed for cooking. Exceptional service, booking was easy especially as I needed accommodation for 15 people. The location of the beach front apartments is amazing and there are 3 restaurants within 2 minutes walking distance.

Waiheke excellence

We loved our stay at this excellent property. It is perfectly located on Onetangi beachfront. We enjoyed relaxing to breathtaking vistas of the ocean and listening to the sound of waves breaking on the beach. High quality features in this comfortable apartment made for a very enjoyable a holiday. Perfect!

Great house and location

It's a great house and a wonderful location. Right across from the beach and a few restaurants on the street. It was perfect for our family. Kitchen had everything you'd need to cook, the garden area is nice and provides some private outdoor area. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This house was fantastic. We were blown away by the size and quality of the property, beautiful and luxurious. Owners were great at communicating info to us. The beach is across the street, literally. Every amenity you could want. The upstairs master bedroom is stunning with ocean views.
